EEEECO House held an event on trick or treat night

Friday, October 30, 2009

By Lindsay Patterson

Thursday October 29th Wilmington College's EEEECO House held an event on trick or treat night. The event was held to help educate community about small ways to go green. The event was great for parent's to bring children for a fun night out and to get some candy too. The homemade solar cooker was there too. The solar cooker was made from students at Wilmington College in Stephen Pothoff's Values and Ethics class for a service learning project. After interviewing Steven Rohenburg he felt that the event went ok but lacked publicity and he
wished the turn out would have been bigger. I feel that next year this event will be even bigger, because now the students will know what to improve on and do more of.

It is scheduled on the city of Wilmington's halloween trick or treat night so the eko house will be themed accordingly. The group has come up with a couple ideas they defiently want to try to pull off. They wish to some how create a haunted trail to get to the eko house from the street.
